While traveling in Delhi, Connaught Place is never missed and has a variety of places you could eat vegetarian and non-vegetarian food, especially Nirula’s. This chain has been in existence for the past 25 years. It is basically a popular fast food joint which has pizzas, burgers and other Indian meals. So choose what you like from a variety of ice creams and cakes also as few Nirula's outlets have an outstanding bakery too!
Multi-cuisine
Meandering through Delhi roads will bring you to Pandara Road. Usually this place is famous as a host of restaurants serving lip smacking Indian dishes. Try out the crisp breads (naan) with tangy onions at Gulati Restaurant or Ichibana for authentic Chinese cuisine. Although all of them are very good and serve an assortment of Continental, Chinese to Indian dishes.
For traditional homely food try Khandani Rajdhani (Great India Palace, Noida) restaurant which offer the traditional thali concept. They offer unlimited thalis with different items each day on a reasonable cost. The ambiance is calm here - no frills and no fuss. So, do not expect luxury here but do expect wonderful food. The thalis consists food items mostly from Rajasthan, Gujrat and Maharastra.
Traditional South Indian dishes
Sarvana Bhawan is a South Indian restaurant in Connaught Place opposite Janpath market, which serves Idli (rice cake) with Sambhar (mildly spicy lentil curry), Dosa and other mouth watering traditional dishes or food popular down South India i.e. Chennai, Kerala and Karnataka.
Most of the above mentioned restaurants will give you a sumptuous meal within affordable budget so gorge and be happy!
